If you want a clean hotel this is not the place to stay. Front desk manager refused to communicate with me after emailing my concerns. Blood on sheets, hair in shower and what I hope to be toothpaste on the counter and in the sink. If you enjoy outdated dirty hotels I suggest you book it ASAP!
First off we called ahead for early check in and they assured us that, that would be fine. Once we get there it took 40 minutes to check us in. So the rooms were very nice but the shower was moldy and the bed sheets were stained. Besides that yes the rooms were honestly very nice. The service was good and everyone was polite. Also they should definitely crank up the AC in the lobby for the guests.
Basil restaurant is not the Thai restaurant on Google maps. Good strong cocktails. Casual. Good sized suit. Clean. Decor a little dated. Full breakfast was included, was listed as Continental.
EDIT December 2017: The office manager reached out and made it right. They have gone under new management. Seems they are headed in the right direction.

I'm not one to need a fancy hotel - all I need is a clean one. If you're the same way, RUN FAST. I was shocked to see a Sheraton in this type of condition and was appalled by the fact that it's considered a 4-star hotel. Aside from the dated decor and dark hallways and rooms; the hotel is FILTHY. The first room I was given had literal dirt in the bed and BLOOD in the sheets. There were stains all over the curtains, hair in the shower and lipstick on the lampshade. The furniture was entirely banged up. The TV does not even have a guide and you can tell nothing has been touched in the rooms since at least the 80s. There are also no overhead lights in the rooms, just a few small lamps. After I arrived in my dirty room, I called the desk to report it. They did not seem phased by the fact that there was blood on my sheets and based on the other reviews it sounds like this is regular for them. They asked that I come back down to the desk for a new room assignment but I insisted they come up since I had been traveling with my bags and it had already been a burden to have a philthy room upon arrival. Room number 2 and 3 were both just as dirty and the workers seemed to not be phased or concerned. They did finally take me to a 4th room which was just as dated as the others but appeared to at least be cleaner. However, after seeing 3 filthy rooms in a row, I had some serious concerns regarding the cleanliness standards of this hotel. Again, I'd like to emphasize I have stated at HOSTELS and non-luxury hotels and this is by far the worst hotel I've ever been to and am shocked it is still up and running.
Erikka and Andy at the Sheraton Suites hotel in downtown Wilmington are both great Customer Service employees. They made our stay at the hotel most enjoyable. They are an asset to this hotel and I recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Wilmington. Thank you for treating us like family. Mr. & Mrs. Hubert Hernandez
