1. No matter what happens in life or your career, you will always need to know how to create a resume, and interview for a job.

Harris school of business is an amazing school. The staff cares so much about there students and there teachers I have to say it has been the best move for me in my time of need in my search for a career

I was lucky to land my first real medical assistant position in the company where I had completed my externship. I continued to build my resume and career by consistently networking - which I never even heard the term before - but was taught in my career development class.

I am very proud of all I have accomplished in my career so far and like to share my story to help someone that was like me many years ago on the fence on what path to chose in life and no where to go but UP.

Starting a new career when you have been out of school for so long is nerve wracking enough, then add a cheesy part-time job barely making the bills each month, while struggling being a single mom of a 3yr old ... but as soon as I started day one I knew this was the best decision I had ever made!

2. What you want out of life, is what YOU make out of it!

Such a waist of money! Did not learn in the class rooms the skills needed to apply in offices! Find a better trade school that can offer more and offer certifications! A lot of fighting went on as well! Financial Aid ladies were rude along with some of the staff!

Harris offers an accelerated medical assistant program that was perfect for me and my son at the time. Who has time for 2-4 year programs offered elsewhere? Not me, I needed a real paycheck sooner rather than later.

All thanks to taking the first step and enrolling at Harris School of Business, where Harris truly has changed my life. Hopefully, I will get to see you soon!

The day I find out Harris School of Business gets shut down i'm throwing a worldwide party. There's no words to describe how horrible this school is. Students were smoking weed in the back parking lot. There were fights. The worse. My car was rear-ended and totalled in an accident. The next day I go to get pinned. I tell the school that I have no means of transportation so as soon as I get a car i'll let you know. Meanwhile, they're trying to olace me at sites completely out of the way knowing it would take a few buses and roughly two hrs to get too. Not to mention I had a full time job to get to (walking distance from my house). So I called corporate. I was reassured I would not be put out of the program. Two days after I bought my car I drove straight to the school and told them I'm ready for extern and to take my radiology exam. That's when I was told that not only was I put out of the program but the director of education never sent my application for my RHS exam so I had to pay for it out of pocket ($175) even though tuition is supposed to cover it. I left the building in tears and my chest hurt so bad from anger. I wasn't like most of those students at Harris who didn't give a crap about their education. I worked so hard, while pregnant and postnatal, getting A's and B's just for them to throw me out like I was some worthless student who could've cared less about their education. I'm still looking for an attorney who would take my because I want every red cent back. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT enroll in this school. Please.

I learned two very simple things that I use today:

CURRENTLY IN THIS SCHOOL AND LOVE IT! The staff does whatever it takes to work with the students. Some things are Federally mandated and out of their hands but not too many. For instance, I have to leave the school for 60 days over a mandatory situation. These things happen in life and they are doing everything possible so I can come right back in and start where I left off. They are very supportive and help very much with externships and getting a job in the field of study selected upon admission. Yes their are some students who fight, do dumb things, and simply don't care. THAT IS EVERYWHERE BUT THE FACULTY CANT ALWAYS FIGURE OUT THAT IS GOING TO OCCUR BY THE WAY THOSE STUDENTS ACT UPON ADMISSION!!! Those students act perfect and then act out smh THE STAFF ELIMINATES THOSE PROBLEMS ASAP AND REMOVE THOSE STUDENTS FROM THEIR FACILITIES. of course those are the ones writing bad experiences to this school. IF YOU ACTUALLY GO BY THE STATISTICS OF SUCCESS BY REAL RESOURCES AND NOT THE BAD ONES THAT ARE LOOKING TO GET BACK AT THE STAFF BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE AT THEIR CONSEQUENCES. The school rating of success are very high!! I would recommend this school to anyone. I am one who does not need to lie. I have spoke my mind to horrible businesses and companies before that actually deserve it with no judgements but facts I have observed. This school is amazing and if you give them a chance you will see exactly what I am talking about.

I have not looked back since.

Throughout my career, I have been very blessed to work with a diverse group of patients, team members and outstanding physicians. My journey has led me full circle back to the Wilmington Campus in 2013 as a Medical Assistant Instructor and in March 2016, I had an amazing opportunity to become the Externship Coordinator for the Wilmington Campus. My time as an instructor redefined me as a MA. Never have I felt true fulfillment like being apart of someone’s life while they transform into - Who They Deserve to be - a GRADUATE of Harris School of Business, and armed with the tools for success!

I finally was ready to start fresh, instead of living pay check to pay check at dead end jobs. Harris gave me everything I needed to accomplish my goals of becoming part of the medical field. My instructors were incredible and not only supported my educational journey but encouraged me to finish school and become who I am today. They armed me with the tools and the confidence that I would need to be successful in this field.
